5 March, 2008Prata made by Chinese~
5 March, 2008The bliss of living in Singapore with the many ethnic groups – eating different kinds of dishes made by different people!
This prata shop is quite hard to find, make a round around Goldhill Plaza and you’ll find it in a small coffeeshop which is selling cai fan as well.

I haven’t tasted such good plain prata in a well~ It has this flakey crispy outer layer and after eating your plate will have lots of these crispy burnt bits which is really yummy.. surprisely ,the plate wasn’t oily after eating~

Their pratas with filling are really square and neat. Cut into squares for convenience sake, it reminds me of HK thick toast. :p We had the egg cheese mushroom prata and a chicken mutarbak. Both of them looked the same on the outside, were decent and retained a nice level of crispiness but i would say that the plain one is much more tradtional and value for money.. hehe.
I miss the Indian-ness in indian curries and eating with my hands though.. not forgetting prata with sugar.. the taste of my childhood.
