
Being one who eats upon waking, I am often too lazy to make breakfast that requires more than 10 minutes of cooking.
However, I was in the mood to cook some steel cut oats last week. I boiled some water, threw in the oats and left it to simmer for close to an hour. When i lifted up the lid, there were many really really small bits of black strands that were super fine and about 0.001cm long.
“Must be some bran thing.” I assured myself.
It tasted good, as usual.
A few days later, for some unknown reason, i examined the tub of steel cut oats. To my horror, there were tiny insects moving everywhere….
