Updates..

The month’s drawing to an end.. time certainly passes fast when one is busy.

I’ve been suffering from really bad tooth problem for the past 1.5 weeks. I thought it’s wisdom tooth growing and it’ll be fine once it finished growing like my past 2 wisdom teeth.. but it went on and on and there’s this flap of gum there that’s huge and swollen everytime after i eat. Also ever since i ate that gingko nut papaya tong shui the area around that tooth smelt like rotten gingko nuts and I suspect that my tooth is rotting under my gums and sometimes debris came out of the gum flap… it smelt like shit and irritates the ______ out of me. ): Life was horrible and I started replacing proper meals with cakes and other junk food.

Over the past week I ate wife biscuits, BBQ food, banana cake, pandan cake, heong peah, black forest cake, chocolate cake, cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake with biscuit base, malay cake, carrot cake, steamed chocolate cake, sweets, mr bean pancakes and up to 3 cups of soyamilk per day plus other random rubbish.

I feel like a huge rubbish now. ):

But somehow my tooth has fixed itself. o_o After the bleeding session last night after i dug all the rubbish from my gums with a toothpick.

IT feels 100% normal now.. no more gum flaps.. no more rotten gingko smell.

Weird.

The past few days have been hectic, not only doing work, but fun tooo~

I’ve been drawing and drawing and drawing and writing and writing everyyyday!

Managed to squeeze in some time to complete my gifts (:

B’s toys and B’s sister’s wedding!

Now.. should i do today’s writing or mobtv? :p

Siglap!

Large waffle with Strawberry Cheesecake Yogurt Ice cream, Vanilla Bean Ice cream, Whipped Cream and Chocolate sauce ($9.90) ON A HALF PRICE TUESDAY

Look at that icy, sweet, creamy and absolutely refreshing gelato with fresh, rich cream on waffles with a crispy crust and soft inside…… slurp! (:

Those who had had a bad experience with Gelare’s waffles – give those at Siglap a try! It’s the outlet with the best waffles.. Sadly, the other outlets that I’ve tried (Far East, Suntec, Plaza Singapura..) doesn’t live up to the Siglap branch’s standard..

While wandering around after my waffle, I stumbled upon Werner’s Oven, the first German Restaurant in Singapore which has been running for 9 years(famous for it’s Pork Knuckles).

It also has a traditional bakery selling cakes, muffins, cookies and exotic breads. I overheard the lady boss on a conversation with a customer ordering a huge bulk of spelt bread.. i guess it must be good! (:

Lady boss says that their bakes are all baked in house and that they only have one branch.

Here’s my loot:

Coffee muffin ($1.50), Carrot cake ($2.80), Cranberry muffin ($1.50)

Coffee muffin was for the brother, his comment was that it is nice but abit sticky.

Cranberry muffin for the sister, I found it quite okay, soft enough, with the right amount of sweetness.

Carrot cake for me! It’s homemade taste reminded me of my Chocolate Hazelnut Wholegrain cake. The cake is moist and tasty, but i feel that there was too much of baking powder/soda.. if they were to add more in, it would have had that bitter aftertaste..

I love the fact that half the walnut is chocolate coated, it makes me feel that the baker really put his/her heart into presenting his/her bakes. (: The chocolate tastes yummy and not like cheap, commercial choc.

The cream cheese, though think, dense and creamy, tastes abit dull and lack a refreshing tingle that Cedele’s carrot cake gives.

I will try their breads next time! :D
