Cousin came over today and we baked butter cookies together.
She accidentally spilled sprinkles all over the floor, some fell into the batter.. :p
First batch turned out too big and colourful..
I topped the following batches with nuts and chocolate chips instead..
Purposely burnt it as it looks malnourished unburnt. :p Mum says it’s more crisp and frangrant too.

A remake of the Chocolate Walnut Wholegrain cake!
Except that this time, i used hazelnuts instead of walnuts, and baking powder instead of baking soda.. and it turned out better! None of the bitter aftertaste at all, and the cake actually puffed up nicely inside of the previous which sank down! Banzai! :D
Here’s a virtual slice to people reading~ It’s not like your usual soft and fluffy chiffons and pandan cakes. Instead it’s more dense and crumbly with a rich chocolately taste in every mouthful.. it breaks apart in your mouth. The outer layer is what i love most, it’s hard, like a caramelised crust which is topped with toasted hazelnuts and crunchy chocolate chips dued to it being exposed during baking.. yumyum! Mum, bro and sis and me all gave it thumbs up yay! :D:D Oh yes, and it’s made from wholemeal flour!! Healthy leh! :x
But but! There’s always room for improvement! I find it too sweet still! I must use one of those high class bitter dark chocolate next time.. and increase the amount of hazelnuts! I only put in about 40% of the hazelnuts required since they’re too expensive.. should’ve bought a bigger packet.. :/ It’ll help reduce the sweetness as well. Lastly.. must add some espresso to the mixture next time too!! Plus cocoa powder. :D
Ah! Chocolate + Hazelnuts = Nutella = Ferroro Rocher! :o

10 December 2007, the day which i want to record down and never forget!
Finally had the chance to meet up with Zhengning, best online friend I’ve ever had~ now we’re not only online friends anymore ye~ (:
This girl, coupled with her sweet voice, is really really cute, much more than how she is online(which is alot already)!
Zhengning ‘toured’ me around her house and we had some small girltalk as she shared some things we’ve talked about online hee~
Glad both of us were not as shy as we have expected! Hee~ hope to do more things together in the future and stay in contact, as well as to share our problems :D
Made sushi! Did some research in the morning so that we can zoom out fast to get the ingredients and start working on the sushis!
The tamagoyaki was challenging to make~ we cheated with our hands and 2 spoons. Doesn’t matter, it was fun and it turned out fine!
Tried out the cylindrical molds from Daiso, the rice turned out so cute, just like the wheels of a car..
.. and i instantly did something stupid. Haha!
